Our History:
In 2006 I weighed 265lbs, had a slipped disk problem, sciatica,
high blood pressure and was taking a blood thinner for clots in my lungs.
During the course of a year I began eating better and exercising. After a year I
had lost 60 pounds, eliminated the need for blood pressure medicine, my sciatica
was gone and I have not had any blood clot issues since .
I was fascinated by how exercise and eating differently was changing my body. I went
to school to learn nutrition basics and in the process was introduced to a personal
training course. I took the course because I was driven to know what and how exercise
affected my body. At the end of the course, I passed their personal trainer
program and had their certification. My second certification came in October 2007
when I became an ACE Certified personal trainer.

Our program:
I have partnered with other fitness professionals who have seen as I have,
many exercisers go to the gym passionately and consistently and wonder why they
don't get the results that they are expecting. We realize there are many reasons for this.
In short, all exercisers have some sort of fitness goals, but waste
a lot of time, money, blood, sweat and tears going to their workouts without having
a solid plan for their goals. Unfortunately for some, the idea that "At least I
am exercising" or "its better than nothing" can be poor excuses for spending money
and working out without specific exercise plans to match specific exercise goals.
This is where "A Body Science" wants to help.
There is a place for session to session personal training.
Many exercises
either need this scenario, or, could do well with it at least for a time.
Some exercisers just need help developing a good goal and exercise
strategy and can workout on there own.
We have decided that there is a need for personal training that concentrates
on the parts of an exercisers process where they begin exercise, or where they want
or need to evaluate their current exercise program to help the exerciser determine
that they are on the right track, or to incorporate options to improve their program.
We feel that a small investment to be sure that their time exercising
is not wasted while they enthusiastically go about there workouts for weeks and months, is a huge practical advantage to the exerciser.

Our location:
We are based in Torrance California. This is where we do our
personal training.

Our Website:
This website is being set up to also do what's called Cyber
training. Cyber training is a new, convenient way for people to get personal training.
We know that onsite personal training is the best. We do see many advantages for
those who need advice, workout plans even links to videos that show exactly how
an exercise should be done for an exercisers particular need.
We are also developing software so that our clients can keep track
of there exercise, nutrition and lifestyle issues so that over time they can see
when there body composition changes, and what nutrition, exercise and/or lifestyle
factors make it change for better or worse.
We want to provide our clients with information just
for them. There are thousands of websites that offer fitness information.
Our website will focus on information that has to do with a clients particular issues
and needs. This
way, our site
will always hold information that we research for
a client, and, other clients with the same or similar issues or questions can have
that information available.

Finally:
BCA is currently in beta. It is available
to you for testing. Feel free to view
and use the current programs to get an idea
of the data it collects. Currently, the "Nutrition", "Create a Worksheet",
"Save a Session" and the "Reporting and Analysis" modules are still under development.

We want to share our knowledge and experience with anyone who exercises.
